Job Description: Physical Education and Nutrition Coordinator
Position Overview:
The Physical Education and Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the physical education and nutrition programs within our organization. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in physical education, athletics, and nutrition. The coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating various physical education and nutrition initiatives to promote overall health and wellness among participants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive physical education and nutrition programs aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
2. Create and deliver engaging and age-appropriate physical education lessons and activities to enhance participants' motor skills, physical fitness, and overall well-being.
3. Design and administer nutrition education programs that promote healthy eating habits and address specific dietary needs of participants.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and integration of physical education and nutrition programs.
5. Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor the effectiveness of physical education and nutrition initiatives, and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and data analysis.
6. Provide guidance and support to physical education teachers, coaches, and other staff members to ensure consistent implementation of program curriculum.
7. Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and industry trends related to physical education, athletics, and nutrition.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to program participation, progress, and outcomes.
9. Assist in organizing and coordinating athletic events, competitions, and tournaments, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
10. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and community partners to promote the importance of physical education and nutrition in overall health and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in physical education, sports science, nutrition, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in designing and delivering physical education and nutrition programs.
3. Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation.
4. Familiarity with nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and meal planning.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants of all ages.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and community partners.
8. Proficient in using technology and educational tools to enhance learning experiences.
9. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
